This week's been better than last, which is really all I can ask for these days. I'm able to function in my daily life (huge improvement), and only seem to need about 10 hours of overnight sleep, instead of my previous 12-14.
During the week, I aimed to do a short after-dinner walk in the neighborhood most nights, and improved from a quarter mile where I had chest tightness on Monday to a comfortable ~1.5mi without problems by the end of the week.
Saturday morning, I met my training partner in the middle of her double digit run for a couple miles of walking. It felt so good to be back out before the sun with a friend, even if we were only walking. I planned on doing 2mi, felt great after that, and opted to add one more. I felt good after that, and closed with a quarter mile jog, which also felt great.
...but then I was really tired, and took a 1.5hr nap, woke up, and was still pretty "off" the rest of the day.
I'd hoped to take my little one to the river Sunday for a run/walk, but wasn't up for any running, and kept a slow walk instead... followed by another hour nap.
On the bright side:
- exercise feels good, and I'm not suffering from any weird heart rate stuff or noticeable chest tightness anymore
- I don't need extra naps to get through my normal daily life, and have resumed eating dinner with my family instead of crashing as soon as I get home
Still trying to figure out what the best approach for me is going to be to ramp back up, but I've got hope and a much better attitude than weeks past.
