MBF: Week 3/3

Week-beginning Thoughts:

My baby has been crying out in the MOTN every night (except one) for the past 2+ weeks. I just want a decent night of sleep, sooooo badly. 

I've got an appointment with an RD on Thursday and am looking forward to what comes of that, too. Hopefully, she can shed some light on what I'm doing wrong. 


Monday
Did: MBF Lower, MBF Core
Last week, I wrote "Up at midnight thirty with baby, up again at 2am because of baby, and then up for real at 4:15 to workout". This week, I can just keep that text... except the midnight thirty wakeup wasn't baby-related, but rather because I was uncomfortable with too many blankets/dry legs that needed lotion. Took me an hour to get back to sleep, then baby was up at 2, and I got back to sleep by 3, and up again at 4 for my workout. Uggghhh. Seriously considering taking a day of PTO just to sleep... 

Proud of have gotten my workouts in, though, upped the weights, and felt really accomplished for making it through three weeks of this workout.

Tuesday
Did: 6.34mi @ 9:27/mi avg, 2mi lunch walk
Mmm. Husband took the kids and let me sleep in the spare bedroom last night, so I got a good night of sleep. Hooray :) 

 
also loving all my Sunday meal prep :)

Wednesday
Did: MBF Lower, MBF Core
Wooo! So proud to have made it through today's workouts. 

Total Cal: 1994 (net intake 1722)


Thursday
Did: 5.06mi @ 9:24/mi avg, 20min yoga
Shoulders are soooore today. Wasn't sure I was going to run this morning due to a forecast of 37 and RAIN, but my training partner got me up and out, and we enjoyed a great 5mi through some light drizzle. Felt good. Also did some upper back-focused yoga at lunch to work out some soreness from yesterday's weight session.

Today was a tough day nutrition-wise. I made some superhero muffins last night and really had a hard time staying away from them. While they're not unhealthy, I probably overindulged in the amount of almonds/nuts/healthy fats I ought to have had, and definitely felt more sluggish today having had so many calories from muffins... 

Also, I was off a week on my RD consult. It's next Thursday. Uggghhh

Friday
Did: MBF Total Body, 2mi walk
Rough night... 10:30pm wakeup, and then more at 12:32, 12:37, 12:41, 12:56, and 1:10am... Also feeling that ONE glass of wine last night. Blergh. 

Treated myself to a bagel and flat white from Starbucks this morning, which blew up my calorie count and UPF containers for the day... Oh well. 

Total Cal: 2244 (560 over recommended net intake )


Saturday
Did: 10.16mi @ 9:27/mi avg, MBF Dynamic Stretch, 30min yoga, 4.5mi stroller walk
Man, I love getting up early and having an hour and a half to hang with my best friend, talking about all sorts of random topics, as we log just over ten miles before 6:30am. :) What a perfect start to the weekend. 

Total Cal: 2432 (279 below recommended net intake )


Sunday
Did: 5.62mi stroller tempo run @ 8:52/mi avg, MBF Power Ignite, some log chopping, 
Great stroller run at the river, with a 10min tempo @ 7:45/mi and then second tempo 5min @ 7:22/mi. Finished off MBF in the garage while my little one played outside, then did a neighborhood walk with the baby in the late afternoon. Apart from some terrible stomach cramps that had me in a fetal position in the early evening (what did I eat?!?!?), today was a great close to the week.


Total Cal: 2195 (19 above recommended net intake )


Total Weekly Mileage: 27.9



Week-ending Thoughts:
  • I have none. It's Monday and I'm struggling with this week already :P
