Week-beginning Thoughts:
Feeling good this week. Probably going to finish up this round of MBFA, then look at launching into a Miler Method...
Monday
Did: MBFA Lower Burn, MBFA Core Advanced
Weee, last time through a Lower Burn workout! I upped my weights to 25lb dumbbells on most exercises, paid attention to my lunge/squat form, and feel really good about what I accomplished.
Also: I cannot have laraballs in the house... I made another attempt at them this weekend, and they're halfway gone.
Tuesday
Did: 6.32mi @ 9:27/mi avg, MBFA Upper Burn, 4mi stroller run @ 9:54/mi avg
I loved today's Upper Burn workout! Throughout the program, I've been governed more by form than by weight, but today I was finally able to lift heavier, maintain form, and fatigue my muscles. That felt good.
Even though I'd already run with the 10KT crew in the morning, I couldn't let the gorgeous weather go by un-enjoyed. I opted to take both my kiddos to the greenway after work, planning on a short stroller run (for me at the little) while the big one biked. We ended up going further than I'd planned, which brought my total mileage for the day over 10. Sweet.
Also, all laraballs were consumed before 11am today. At least they're out of the house? :/
Wednesday
Did: MBFA Core,3.75mi walk with husband at lunch, 1mi stroller walk in evening
Today's core workout was intense, and I'm hopeful that my abs will be sore in the morning. :) I got back on track with eating today, and felt soooo much better. That'll teach me, eh? My calories were fine earlier in the week, but I just felt gross after eating so many dates.
Oh, and I also ran a half mile in the morning to test out my new super high reflectivity jacket.
Thursday
Did: 5.03mi @ 9:12/mi avg, MBFA Total Body Burn + Bonus
Got my diet back on track and felt great today.
Friday
Did: MBF Power Ignite
After a great morning workout, I had an amazing day at work... but ate like four bagels over the course of the day thanks to some coworkers bringing them in. Ugggghhh, monthly hormones and cravings.
I planned on walking at lunch, but was enjoying what I was doing so much, I kind of worked straight through until 3:30... at which point it seemed a little bizarre to take a "lunch break".
Felt sick in the evening... slept 12 hours :/
Saturday
Did: 4mi @ 9:12/mi avg
Woke up sluggish, but recovered by midday. Had a stressful morning and went for a rain run to cope.
Sunday
Did: 10.59mi @ 9:21/mi avg, 5.7mi walk, MBFA W3D7
Woke up feeling great, did a long run in drizzle and felt suuuuper cold by the end. Post-shower, I felt a bit of stuff in my throat, and my oldest had a 101 fever, so maybe I am sick?
Total Weekly Mileage: 29.95 (really? SO close to 30... lol)
Week-ending Thoughts:
- Running is so key to my mental state...
- Sickness is no fun.
- Eating healthy when I'm sick-ish and hormonal is hard.
