Week-Beginning Thoughts:
This is a stressful week with a lot of life-stuff: last week of school (and all the associated things parents need to be at/do), kid's first sports tryouts (multiple evenings in a row, too), and trying to get things set for summer vacation.
Monday
Scheduled: walk or MBF
Did: 2mi treadmill @ 9:37/mi avg
Stressful day trying to fit in a kid's end-of-year class party in the middle of the work day, then leave early for soccer tryouts. Got a few miles on the treadmill, though.
Tuesday
Scheduled: 10KTuesday
Did: 6.3mi @ 8:57/mi avg
The crew dubbed this a "rage run" with how stressed I am this week for various reasons, and that was 100% accurate. I really leaned into the feeling of pushing myself pace-wise and being able to hit some "solid miles". No arch pain/soreness during.
I woke up not wanting to do this run, but, every Wednesday, I wake up tired from a late Tuesday at chorus and don't want to run. Then, by the time I've dropped kiddo off at school, I'm lamenting not putting on my run clothes so I can swing by the greenway.
Today, I told myself just to put my clothes on, and that I could decide what I actually wanted after school drop-off.
I went to the greenway.
It's been so long, though, since I used the workout feature on my watch, I forgot to set it up properly. It beeped after my 1mi warm-up, went through 2 intervals of 0.25mi on / 3min recovery nicely... and then went to the CD since I didn't change the default number of intervals. Rather than start/stop my watch, I just manually watched to hit the 3rd and 4th intervals. Everything felt gooooood.
