(not my) Marathon Pre-Training: Week 3/4

Monday

Did: MBF Week 2 Total Body
Lifting... crashed HARD overnight


Tuesday
Did: MBF Week 3 Core 1, 10KTuesday @ 9:32/mi avg, 1mi stroller walk



Wednesday
Did: 4.04mi @ 9:20/mi avg



Thursday
Did: 5.00mi @ 8:58/mi avg
Somewhat solid miles. 


Friday
Did: 5.55mi @ 9:08/mi avg , lunch walk, stroller walk
Easy miles that ended up being a bit faster than easy. Oops? Added a lunch walk with my husband and an evening stroller walk for a few more miles.


Saturday
Did: 12.12 @ 8:50/mi avg
Ugggghhh. I got up at 1:11am with the baby, and was pretty much up again every 20min with him, the cats, or the older one for everything from a mid-night bathroom trip or request for water to insane meows for food and a toddler carrying a broken bed rail into our room saying, "fix this?" until 3:30am. 

If I'd been guaranteed two hours of uninterrupted sleep at that point, I would have 100% bailed on my long run. But, past experience has taught me that chances were pretty slim, so I might as well get up. Glad I did. My training partner and I enjoyed a really great "solid miles" run... and I treated myself to a full, delicious soft pretzel from the farmers' market afterwards. 


Sunday
Did: 6.01mi @ 9:11/mi avg, MBF Week 3 Upper Burn
Fun morning at the river with my whole family. It's nice to feel so comfortable at a faster pace like this. Guess those "solid miles" are working ;)




Total Weekly Mileage: 39.1


Week-ending Thoughts:
  • Lifting is still incredibly challenging to fit in, and I'm really missing it in my life. 
  • But I'm rocking almost 40mpw and feeling great?
